Children & Young People

This info relates to pre-pandemic times and will be updated in September.

Please get in touch if you would like support for your children during these times when we are unable to gather in the church building.

Young Church meets during the morning service most Sundays. We meet in church for the start of the service, then head off into the Guild room for a Bible story followed by games and activities suited to the age of whoever is present. We try to cater for children from 3 – 12 yrs of age.We re-join the rest of the congregation towards the end.

Young children can bring their grown-ups with them, or our experienced team will take good care of them for their separate activities. If you prefer to keep your children with you for the whole service, that’s ok too. Children who are under 3yrs of age should stay with their parents. There are books and toys in the welcome area if they are needed. and colouring activities etc. are always on offer: just ask.

If you need to take your child out of a service at any stage, you can use the welcome area by the church doors, from where you can watch what is going on in church. There is a toilet on the left as you enter the main church doors, and a pull-down changing table in the church hall ‘ladies’.

Our Safeguarding officer Aelwyn oversees all our engagement with children and vulnerable people. Full DBS checking is undertaken, and we aim to follow best practice at all times.
